The university holds its first council meeting for the year 2025 and approves a package of academic and organizational initiatives
The university held its first council meeting for the year 2025, chaired by Prof. Dr. Hayat Niyaz, the university president. This meeting is the first council held after her appointment to this position, reflecting a new start in the university's journey towards institutional and academic development.
During the meeting, a number of decisions and initiatives were approved that contribute to enhancing academic and organizational performance, and support the university's directions in modernization and excellence. These decisions included the approval of the university's strategic plan, the graduate studies regulations, and a set of new academic and professional programs.
The council also approved the guide for writing university theses and agreed to establish a research chair unit, along with launching two peer-reviewed scientific journals, in support of scientific publishing and academic research.
In line with the university's interest in contemporary issues and sustainable development, the council approved the organization of an international conference titled "Sustainable Development in the World of Artificial Intelligence," scheduled to be held in February 2026. It also agreed to launch the "Academicians' Summer Calendar" initiative as part of community service programs.
The council's proceedings concluded with the approval of the lists of university graduates for the period from January to July 2025, in diploma, master's, and doctoral programs.
