Preparatory meeting to sign a cooperation agreement between APEXSCI International University and the Libyan capital university as part of the activities of the 2025 international intermedia conference
A coordinating meeting was held via the "Zoom" platform between ACADEMION International University and the Libyan capital university, in preparation for the second International Inter-University Conference 2025 titled: Media and Communication in the Smart Age: Digital Transformations and Future Visions, scheduled to be held virtually on September 20 and 21, 2025.
The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Hayat Abdul Aziz Niaz, President of ACADEMION International University and Chair of the Conference, where the fields of scientific cooperation between the two universities were reviewed, and the proposed cooperation protocol that will be officially signed during the conference activities was discussed.
Dr. Mishal Al-Mahlawi, Vice President of the university and Chair of the Higher Supervisory Committee for the conference, presented a framework for cooperation, while Dr. Fayrouz Abdul Hamid, Dean of the College of Media and Communication and Chair of the Preparatory Committee, reviewed the areas of scientific participation, joint organization, and media and knowledge support for the conference.
On behalf of the Libyan capital university, Dr. Ahmed Bin Nuba, President of the university, expressed his welcome to this cooperation, affirming the university's commitment to supporting scientific research and developing students' skills at the Arab level, and he also presented an introductory presentation about the Libyan capital university, indicating that the university seeks to host participants in the conference and provide scientific and academic sponsorship befitting the event in line with its vision to support sustainable development and enhance the culture of scientific research.
Also participating in the meeting were: Prof. Dr. Sherif Jad, Vice President of the Libyan capital university for International Cooperation and Development, Director of the Center for Strategic Studies for Sustainable Development, Dr. Abdul Razak Al-Awami, Vice President of the university for Academic Affairs, and Mr. Faraj Al-Salehin, Vice President of the university for Administrative and Financial Affairs, all of whom confirmed the university's readiness to provide academic and logistical support to ensure the success of the conference and enhance the presence of Libyan researchers at this scientific event.
The meeting concluded with an emphasis on the importance of expanding scientific partnership between the two universities to achieve the conference's goals and serve higher education in the region.
