The activities of the first Makarem Conference will kick off on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.
The Makarem Center for Moral Values at ACADEMION International University, in collaboration with the College of Media and Communication at the university, is preparing to organize the first Makarem Conference on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, chaired by the center's director Dr. Abdulrahman bin Yahya Al-Saigh, and the dean of the college Dr. Firoz Abdul Hamid Jaber, under the supervision of the university's vice president Dr. Mishal bin Yasin Al-Muhallawi.
The conference includes three axes in addition to a concluding article on the positive role of media in the positive education of human rights values, and among the working papers is a research by Professor Ruqayyah bint Abdullah Bousnan, a higher education professor at Prince Abd al-Qadir University for Islamic Sciences in Qasentina - Algeria - specializing in Media and Communication, and a faculty member at ACADEMION International University, which addresses the approach and reading of the alignment between media work ethics and the rapid developments in artificial intelligence.
Bousnan focuses in the research on the debate surrounding the ethical commitment of media work in the context of artificial intelligence, which imposes itself strongly and raises ethical issues in several fields including media and communication, with the ethical balance in the research presenting the extent of commitment to it or not amidst the innovations of artificial intelligence.
