The ACADEMION Global Institute for Distance E-Learning organized, under the generous sponsorship of Her Highness Princess Dr. Jawhara bint Fahd bin Mohammed Al Abdulrahman Al Saud, a seminar on the occasion of the Hajj season titled "Hajj Between the Fragrance of the Past and the Radiance of the Present" on Tuesday, 1443/12/6 AH corresponding to 2022/7/5 AD, with the attendance of a distinguished group of scholars and intellectuals. The seminar was moderated by His Excellency Dr. Mishal bin Yasin Al-Muhlawy, Deputy of the ACADEMION Global Institute for Distance E-Learning, with the participation of Her Excellency Dr. Sonia bint Ahmed Malaki, Supervisor of the ACADEMION Cultural Platform, ACADEMION Ambassador, and seminar coordinator.

The seminar opened with fragrant verses from the Holy Quran recited by Sheikh Dr. Yasser Al-Dosari, followed by a speech from Her Highness Princess Dr. Jawhara bint Fahd bin Mohammed Al Abdulrahman Al Saud, former founder and director of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, member of the Advisory Supervisory Council for the Service of Pilgrims and Umrah performers, and honorary president of ACADEMION Ambassadors. She emphasized that this Hajj seminar is a blessed opportunity as it addresses multiple axes honored by time and place, and the message, with the participation of a distinguished group of scholars and intellectuals. She added: "There is no doubt that this seminar embodies the interest of the ACADEMION platform in highlighting what the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been doing since the era of King Abdulaziz, may God rest his soul, until our present time, the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, may God protect them. It highlights the pioneering role of the Kingdom in spreading Islam and serving Muslims, and supporting their issues. From the Qibla of Muslims, the place of revelation, and the cradle of the message, the Kingdom mobilizes all energies and capabilities, preparing all means to facilitate their access to the Two Holy Mosques, and serving them so they can perform the rituals of Hajj and Umrah in safety, health, and peace until they return to their countries safe and sound, forgiven by God's permission."

The seminar began with the participation of Her Excellency Professor Dr. Ameera bint Ali Madah, Professor of Modern and Contemporary History at Umm Al-Qura University, formerly, with her lecture titled "The Scientific and Cultural Conditions in the Sacred Sites Throughout the Ages," which included a set of axes about preaching, guidance, and admonition in the sacred sites, the gathering of delegations and its scientific impact, then using the sacred sites as media platforms. She clarified the keenness of the rulers of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in welcoming pilgrims annually in the sacred sites, inviting scholars, heads of states, and intellectuals for the political dimensions of the message of Hajj, and they took the sacred sites as a platform shared with their Muslim brothers in their issues.

His Excellency Engineer Ibrahim bin Hussein Jastania, an international consultant and arbitrator, discussed in the seminar "A Story from the Hajj of 1368 AH," where he mentioned a story that history does not forget, as it became a reference for some to date for many years, famously known as "The Hajj or Year of the Cold," which witnessed severe storms and heavy rains that uprooted the tents of the pilgrims, destroyed the shelters, and scattered people in search of safety and security. His father, Jastania, had a significant role in sacrifice and bravery to rescue those in distress, and his generous hospitality to them, making it a remarkable story recounted by some for a long time.

Her Excellency Dr. Wafa bint Abdulaziz Mahdar, Assistant Professor of Educational Administration and Planning at Umm Al-Qura University, presented a lecture titled "Quality Services for the Hajj Journey from Scarcity to Prosperity," in which she clarified the efforts of the Kingdom in serving pilgrims, developing and expanding the Two Holy Mosques, as well as discussing the development of the Jamarat facility. She also pointed out the diversity and integration of health services, the development of land and rail networks, in addition to the Kingdom's efforts in smart electronic services and crowd management, concluding with the Kingdom's efforts in providing security services and crowd management.

She then addressed preventive medicine and public health services aimed at improving the quality and efficiency of health services, facilitating access to health services, and then clarified therapeutic medicine services, and supporting services that stem from laboratories, blood banks and their derivatives, medical supplies of medicines and medical necessities, and vaccines, as well as participation with air medical evacuation planes during the Hajj season, and explained the role of trained workforce during the Hajj seasons.

The seminar was enriched by Her Excellency Dr. Alaa bint Ahmed Zahid, Chair of the Investment Programs Committee at the ACADEMION Institute, with a lecture titled "Volunteer Efforts in Serving the Guests of Rahman Between the Past and Present: Vision and Anticipation," where she clarified the legitimacy of volunteer service within the religious framework, and what Vision 2030 of the Kingdom has devoted to serving those heading to the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, in addition to the Hajj and Umrah system through exceptional service programs. She also pointed to the fields of volunteer work from welcoming and bidding farewell to the Guests of Rahman, guidance and direction, translation, medical and environmental volunteering, and media volunteering, and also addressed the role of the non-profit sector in serving the Guests of Rahman.

The seminar concluded with His Excellency Professor Dr. Hashim bin Hamza Noor, Professor of Applied Linguistics and General Supervisor of the (ELSO) English Language Academy, discussing "Integration in Hajj Operations Between the Three Sectors," where he clarified the integrated system of the three sectors in serving the Guests of Rahman, which includes: government agencies, private sector, and non-profit community organizations. There is harmony and integration in performance among these sectors, including human capabilities and providing a strong infrastructure and utilizing various resources led by a Supreme Hajj Committee in the Kingdom headed by the Minister of Interior and two central committees in Mecca and Medina. He also pointed to the annual operational plans for each season, and the successes of those plans that receive generous support from the Government of the Kingdom in all fields.
