The Arabic language holds a special place among Arabs and Muslims as it is the language of the Holy Quran, the language of the prophetic message, and the language of miracles and Arab authenticity. Due to its prestigious status, the world celebrates it on the 18th of December each year. On the occasion of the International Arabic Language Day, the ACADEMION Cultural Platform launches a scientific seminar titled "Arabic Language and Civilizational Communication" on Tuesday, 24/5/1443 AH corresponding to 28/12/2021 AD at 8 PM, via Zoom. The seminar features a distinguished group of scholars and thinkers, including Her Highness Dr. Jawhara bint Fahd bin Mohammed Abdulrahman Al Saud, founder and former president of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University and honorary president of ACADEMION ambassadors. The title of her paper is "The Arabic Language and Its Impact on Building Global Civilizations." Additionally, poet Mohammed Jaber Al-Mudkhali and poetess Wafa Salem Al-Ghamdi will present a poem titled "The Miracle Language."
Dr. Sonia Ahmed Malki stated in her remarks to Oyun Al-Madina newspaper about the seminar: The International Arabic Language Day has been celebrated on the 18th of December each year since the United Nations decided in 1973 to include Arabic as one of the official languages and working languages of the UN. The participation of the ACADEMION Cultural Platform aims to raise awareness of the language, its culture, and its development. The topics discussed revolve around this year's celebration theme "Arabic Language and Civilizational Communication" due to the importance of the Arabic language in communication and cultural exchange among peoples, and to reaffirm the significant role that the Arabic language plays in bridging connections between people through culture, science, literature, and other diverse fields.
Malki added: The Arabic language is one of the oldest and most prestigious languages in the world, and it is the language of the Holy Quran and the identity of Muslims everywhere. Allah Almighty said in His clear revelation in Surah Ash-Shu'ara: (In a clear Arabic tongue). Hafiz Ibrahim said: I am the sea in whose depths the pearl lies hidden.....Did they ask the diver about my shells? We commend the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which has taken significant steps to establish Arabic as an official language among the UN languages, as well as its announcement of the establishment of the King Salman Global Center for the Arabic Language, in addition to its support for the movement of translation to and from the Arabic language.
It is worth noting that the seminar invites specialists and lovers of the Arabic language, and there will be rich interventions at the end of the seminar, along with free attendance certificates.
